Chapter 59

"Grace, do you know Owen Clarke?" Evelyn craned her neck, staring at the people walking by without blinking.

"Yes, Mr. Clarke is easy to spot." "He's always the center of attention," Grace said with a smile.

"He looks like a celebrity," Evelyn muttered.

"Mr. Clarke's face is on par with any popular star." "It's just his style that's... unique," Grace chose her words carefully.

"Unique?" Evelyn was about to ask what Grace meant when Grace said, "Mr. Clarke is out!"

Evelyn quickly turned her head again. She tried to find the man standing out from the crowd.

She scanned the area. She didn't recognize anyone.

"Which one?" Evelyn looked at Grace blankly.

"Right in front of you," Grace replied in a low voice. Then she greeted Owen in a professional manner. "Hello, Mr. Clarke. This is Mrs. Sterling, Evelyn."

"Nice to meet you," Owen said.

He didn't hand his luggage to the greeters as usual. Maybe it was because Grace was a woman.

Grace took the initiative to push Owen's luggage cart. "Mr. Clarke, let me."

Owen handed the cart to Grace. Then he smiled at Evelyn.

"Evelyn—"

"Hello, Mr. Clarke," Evelyn recovered from her surprise and responded quickly.

Didn't Grace say his style was very unique?

The young man in front of her was dressed normally. There was no way to connect him with the word "unique."

He was just as charming and handsome as in the photos.

No wonder she couldn't find anyone who looked very special just now.

"You're different from what I imagined," Owen looked down at Evelyn and said with a smile.

Evelyn wanted to roll her eyes and say something back. You're more different from what I imagined.

But she held back and asked with a smile, "Am I?"

"You're more beautiful and younger than I expected."

"Really?" Evelyn suddenly felt awkward.

I'm only twenty. You couldn't have imagined me to be thirty, could you?

"Alexander likes younger women," Owen added.

"Alexander isn't that much older than me," Evelyn replied with a dry smile.

"Are you even an adult?" Owen continued.

Evelyn felt like a flock of crows was flying overhead.

You're not an adult. You're still a bad boy. You're a man who's more beautiful than a woman.

Well, if he kept going, it would be a personal attack.

Evelyn took a deep breath. Then she looked up at Owen and said with a smile, "I'm twenty now."

"I can't tell. You look like you're only sixteen."

"..."

"Let's go, little girl," Owen put his arm around Evelyn's shoulder and walked toward the exit.

Suddenly, Evelyn got goosebumps.

Even if you're a friend, you should keep your distance.

But Owen seemed completely unaware of Evelyn's discomfort. He held her shoulder and walked to the exit like an eagle carrying a chicken.

While walking, he chatted with Evelyn warmly.

"Mr. Clarke—"

"Owen," Owen corrected.

"Well, Mr. Owen, can you walk by myself?"

"Sorry, I was thinking of my sister." "She can't walk well on her own." "She always asks me to take her," Owen let go of Evelyn and apologized.

Evelyn suddenly felt depressed.

Did Owen really have a sister who couldn't act on her own? Or was he turning around and calling her disabled?

Evelyn turned her head and looked at Owen. Unexpectedly, he was just looking at her with a smile.

Evelyn could only squeeze out a smile and respond with a dry laugh.

"I still think it's incredible," Owen said with a smile.

Evelyn had no interest in asking Owen what he meant. Dogs can't spit out ivory anyway.

After walking out of the terminal building, Grace had already driven the car to the exit to meet them. She got out of the car and opened the back door.

Evelyn turned to Owen and said, "Mr. Clarke, please get in."

"Ladies first," Owen responded.

"I'll just sit in the passenger seat."

"There's no reason for a woman to sit in the passenger seat." "Or don't you want to sit with me?" Owen asked.

"...How could that be?" Evelyn laughed uglier than crying.

She wanted to sit in the passenger seat and chat with Grace.

But now it seemed she couldn't.

Evelyn had to follow him into the back seat.

Evelyn sat behind the driver's seat and pulled the seatbelt properly.

Owen looked at her actions, smiled, pulled over his seatbelt, and asked, "Where are we going later?"

"Don't we need to take you back?" "By the way, where do you live?" Evelyn looked at Owen and asked.

"No, it's rare for me to come back." "Don't you and Alexander plan to welcome me?"

Evelyn looked at Owen innocently. Could she say she didn't have such a plan?

"Just a moment, I'll call Alexander and ask him." "Maybe he has arranged something." With that, Evelyn took out her phone from her bag and called Alexander.

No one answered.

Evelyn turned to Owen in frustration. "He might be busy and has no time to answer." "It's still early." "Or Grace and I will take you back first." "I'll pick you up later if we're going to eat somewhere."

"What about you?" Owen asked.

"What about me?" Evelyn was a bit confused.

"What's your plan after you send me back?"

"I have no plan." "I'll go back to school directly."

"Go back to school?" "Yes, I forgot you're still a student." "Let's go to your school first." "I'll go back to work and have dinner together," Owen said excitedly.

Evelyn's face fell. She almost cried.

"Our school has nothing to see, really." "Otherwise, I'll take you to the park." "We recently built a new park here." "It's very big and beautiful," Evelyn suggested.

"Evelyn, do you treat me like a child?" Owen looked at Evelyn and asked.

"No, it's just that our school isn't fun at all." "Don't you feel tired after such a long flight?" "Don't you want to rest?"

"Okay." "Besides, I still have jet lag," Owen replied with a smile.

"Or, let Grace take you to Alexander's company?" Evelyn suggested again.

"I have nothing to do with Alexander's company." "I'm not going to that stuffy place." "Or we'll go to the cinema." "After watching the movie, Alexander will almost be off work," Owen looked at the time and said.

"..." Evelyn was depressed for a long time. She wasn't in the mood to see a movie now.

The next second, she suddenly had an idea. "How about taking you to Alexander's apartment first?"

"No, what's fun about his apartment?" Owen refused directly. But the next second, he thought of something and suddenly changed his mind. "Okay, or go to your apartment." "Wait for Alexander to finish work." "Then we'll make plans again."

"Good, good," Evelyn nodded and said.

Finally, the trouble was solved.
