"We work at the same company, but in different departments." "We planned to have lunch together, and I was going to ask her about it." "But An Jiu doesn't live on campus, so how would I know?" Yu Yi muttered. "I haven't heard An Jiu mention it yet!"
"That's strange," Stella murmured.
"Ha, you're even more gossipy than I am!" Yu Yi said with a laugh.
"An Jiu suddenly has a husband, and it's your boss." "Don't tell me you're not curious!" Stella rolled her eyes.
"I'm curious too!" Yu Yi smiled. "I knew An Jiu wouldn't be allowed to drink tonight." "I can call her now and ask what's going on!"
"Exactly!" Stella nodded in agreement.
Then both of them couldn't help but laugh.
A moment later, Yu Yi hesitated and muttered, "But why didn't An Jiu tell us she got married?"
"Yeah, I think it's really strange!" "Is there something she's trying to hide?" Stella echoed.
"Could it be that she's our boss's mistress?" Yu Yi suddenly asked in shock.
"No way!" Stella stared at Yu Yi.
"No, no!" "If that were the case, how could our boss come to pick her up in person?" "At most, he'd send a driver." "Besides, An Jiu isn't that kind of person!" "Let's stop guessing here." "We'll find out when we see her tomorrow!" Yu Yi waved her hand.
"Even if it's nothing, your boss is rich and handsome." "Most women would want to throw themselves at him," Stella replied calmly.
"An Jiu isn't like that!" Yu Yi insisted.
"I didn't say she was." "I'm just saying this kind of thing is normal," Stella explained.
"I'll wash my face tomorrow." "Then I'll go to the balcony to brush my teeth."
Stella looked at Yu Yi and said nothing more.
An Jiu was in a daze. Even though she had slept well, she had no idea what had happened.
After returning to Sterling Manor, Alexander carried her out of the car and went back inside.
A gust of wind hit her, bringing a chill. An Jiu woke up and opened her eyes to see Alexander's chin.
It took her a moment to realize he was carrying her.
She struggled to get down. "Alexander, I can walk by myself!"
"You're awake!" Alexander looked at her with a smile.
"I fell asleep!" An Jiu yawned, her voice muffled.
Alexander set her down and ruffled her hair. "We'll settle the score when we get inside."
"What score?" An Jiu immediately looked up at him, her eyes wary.
"What do you think?" Alexander looked down at her.
An Jiu froze, meeting his gaze. After a long pause, she finally shrank back and explained, "I only had a little bit." "I didn't want to drink at first, but they all said I couldn't handle it, so I did." "Then I stopped!"
"Because you were already drunk," Alexander added.
"..." An Jiu couldn't argue.
"Do you remember what I told you before?"
"Yes." "No drinking when you're out, unless you're with me," An Jiu replied. "I won't do it again!"
"Good," Alexander answered, pulling her into Sterling Manor.
An Jiu glanced at him secretly. Was he really going to let her off that easily?
She wouldn't have to write a review again, would she?
"Evelyn—" Alexander called.
"Huh?" An Jiu turned her head to look at him, waiting for him to continue.
Alexander looked at her. After a moment, he said, "Get a good night's sleep."
"What!" An Jiu couldn't help but laugh, then walked forward.
Alexander watched her back and smiled.
Tomorrow, she would find out their relationship had been exposed for a long time. He wondered if she would still be as happy as she was now.
It seemed it wasn't such a bad thing that she had drunk too much tonight. At least she had unconsciously revealed their relationship.
This way, she wouldn't have to worry about how to tell her classmates she was married.
Alexander stepped forward, wrapped his arm around her, and led her inside.
An Jiu turned to look at him. She felt he was a little different tonight. But she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"Take a shower first." "I'll cook something."
"Didn't you eat tonight?" An Jiu looked at him in surprise.
"I had a little." "Now I'm hungry."
"Oh, I'll cook!" An Jiu said, heading toward the kitchen.
"I'll do it." "You go take a shower first." "You smell like wine." Alexander grabbed her arm.
An Jiu lowered her head and sniffed herself. She didn't smell any wine!
But she figured Alexander had a sensitive nose. So she decided to go upstairs and shower first. She didn't insist any further.
After her shower, An Jiu dried her hair halfway and walked out of the bedroom. Alexander had already cooked and was waiting for her.
She walked over, sat down on the sofa, and looked at the food in front of her. Her eyes lit up. "It's my favorite chicken noodle soup!"
"You didn't eat much tonight," Alexander said, looking at her as he served the soup.
"I think I ate a lot." "I was just eating vegetables since I wasn't drinking." "I don't really remember," An Jiu muttered.
Alexander didn't say anything more and handed her the bowl and chopsticks.
As An Jiu ate the soup, she wondered when Alexander had picked her up.
Why didn't she have any memory of it?
"Alexander, when did you come to get me?"
"After your party ended," Alexander answered.
"Oh." "I was so drunk I still knew to call you!" An Jiu admired herself.
Alexander looked up at her. "You were drunk." "Did you forget what happened?"
"Of course not!" An Jiu denied.
Well, she couldn't remember the details.
Anyway, a lot of students were chattering. They kept drinking, and she kept eating. Later, she seemed to get a call from Alexander. She didn't know what she said. After that, she didn't remember much until he came to pick her up.
An Jiu was very proud of herself. Even when she was drunk, she knew to follow Alexander instead of someone else. It seemed that even though she was drunk, her reason was still sober.
The next second, An Jiu suddenly stopped. She looked up at Alexander, her voice nervous. "When you came to pick me up, had everyone already gone back to school?"
"They didn't go back until I came to get you," Alexander said, looking at her slowly.
"Ah?" An Jiu froze, staring at him blankly.
"Didn't you want to make our relationship public?" "Isn't that why you did it?" Alexander asked calmly, his face unreadable.
