She hesitated, glancing at Alexander.
Finally, she took the glass and poured a small amount.
“Sister-in-law, a toast to you. I wish you and Gray a happy marriage and a lifetime of love. I’ll finish mine. You can drink as you please!” Owen said, clinking his glass against Evelyn’s before downing it.
“Actually, you don’t need to mind. I have nothing to do with Alexander!” Evelyn quickly explained.
Alexander frowned and turned to look at her.
Owen, who had just finished his drink, also stared at Evelyn. “Mind what?”
“Forget I said anything!” Evelyn muttered bitterly.
Suddenly, two pairs of eyes were fixed on her, as if they wanted to devour her.
If she dared to say another word, she’d be doomed!
So she picked up her glass, ready to drink it all.

“Almost done!” Alexander didn’t continue pouring. He just said.

“Forget it. If you don’t have it, I won’t drink! It’s time for me to go back too, so as not to disturb you and your sister-in-law from resting!”
