Aria had been part of the Sterling Group for less than three months.
But those three months were more than enough for her funny story to spread through every corner of the company.
At first, Aria had fought tooth and nail to get into Sterling Group. It was a huge victory for her.
She had studied hard for over ten years, all to land a good job after graduation.
Now that she was in Sterling Group, it felt like she had already achieved that goal.
But today was clearly not a good day for reporting. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have run into Evan Sterling.
She would rather deal with the former than the latter.
The former only cost her one day. The latter meant saying goodbye to Sterling Group for good.
Aria touched the back of her head. When she fell just now, her head hadn’t hit the ground. That was lucky.
Then she couldn’t help cursing the guy she had knocked down.
“No manners at all. He pulled me down with him!”
Finally, she sighed. Oh well, she was the one who knocked him over.
She never knew she was that strong.
She didn’t expect to have super strength today.
Aria relaxed for a moment, then looked at her watch. She almost cried. She was an hour late.
She really didn’t want to get kicked out of Sterling Group.
She couldn’t go through the main entrance now. Too many people had seen her bump into someone. If she walked in through the front door, they would remember her forever.
So Aria circled around to the side door, entered the lobby, and headed for the elevator.
But she was stopped. It was her first day reporting, so she didn’t have a work badge. She had to register, or she wouldn’t be allowed in.
Luckily, no one seemed to notice her.
Aria took her ID card, registered, grabbed her information, and went upstairs to HR.
As expected, the HR manager scolded her. She said if Aria hadn’t performed so well during the interview, they would never have hired someone who was an hour late on the first day.
Aria apologized repeatedly and nodded along to everything the HR manager said. Finally, the manager glanced at her, saw how pitiful she looked, and let it go. She helped Aria complete the check-in process.
After checking in, Aria had two weeks of new employee training.
Even though she was just a small assistant in the admin department, she still had to go through systematic training. That way, she could better handle her future work at Sterling Group.
Because of the morning incident, Aria was still a little shaken. Now she tried to keep a positive attitude and study hard, all to serve Sterling Group better in the future.
First, they spent two days studying the company’s history. Aria felt like she was back in school, studying politics and history, taking notes, and memorizing facts.
The HR manager said if you didn’t know your own company, how could you contribute to it and grow with it in the future.
Aria nodded eagerly, thinking the HR manager was right. So she studied even harder.
She didn’t just study at work. When she got back to her dorm, she recited everything seriously.
Her friend Maya Hart called. Aria was reciting the company introduction.
“What are you saying?” Maya asked, laughing on the other end.
“Reciting the company info!” Aria answered honestly.
“No way, I have to memorize it!”
“Of course I do. If I don’t know the company, how can I contribute to it and grow with it?” Aria replied with conviction.
“Ha ha, a new generation of successors growing up under the red flag of socialism! Such high ideological awareness!” Maya teased.
“Of course. And you? How’s your job?” Aria asked.
“Not great. Just getting by for now.”
“Something is better than nothing.”
“True. So even though I’m doing it, I’m doing it seriously!” Maya said proudly.
“Ha ha, keep it up!” Aria laughed.
Then Aria told Maya about the terrible things that happened on her first day at the company. Maya laughed mercilessly on the other end.
“Do you have any sympathy or not?” Aria complained.
“Yes, but I’ll talk about it after I finish laughing!” Maya said, then kept laughing.
Aria rolled her eyes. What a terrible friend.
