Alexander Sterling stared at Evelyn, unsure how to respond.

“Or should I keep things the same as before, filtering what you get to know?” Alexander saw Evelyn wasn’t answering, so he asked with a smile.

“It’s argumentative!” Evelyn corrected him again.
“Fine, whatever you say goes.”
“It does!” Evelyn insisted. The next second, she looked at Alexander hesitantly and asked, “Were you just teasing me?”
“Do I look like I’m teasing you?” Alexander asked.
“Yes! You tease me all the time!” Evelyn nodded in reply.
“It seems my impression in your mind is pretty negative,” Alexander sighed.
“I’m asking you a serious question!” Evelyn protested.
“I’m being serious too. Evelyn, my third sister took the documents and asked me to transfer fifty-five percent of Sterling Group’s shares to her account within one month,” Alexander continued, his tone as light as ever.
“Fifty-five percent of Sterling Group’s shares? How is that possible? You don’t even have that many shares in hand!” Evelyn replied.
“No, I don’t.”
“Then how can you transfer so many shares to her?”
“Exactly, so I can’t,” Alexander replied with a smile. “Let’s finish our porridge. It’s getting cold.”

Alexander said he would go with her.
He turned off the TV and took Evelyn upstairs.
