The three of them headed upstairs to a café.
After placing their orders, they settled in and started chatting.
“Evie, are you planning to have kids with Gray?” Scarlett asked casually.
“Not yet,” Evie replied, her cheeks flushing slightly. “Gray says we’re still young. We’ll think about it in a few years.”
“That makes sense. You’re still so young, what’s the rush? Look at your second sister and me—we don’t have any kids either!” Scarlett chimed in.
“Second sister, third sister, how old were you when you decided to have children?” Evie asked, curious.
Audrey would be turning twenty-nine after the New Year. Both sisters were older than her. Even though they believed in late marriage and late childbirth, waiting too long meant becoming an older mother. That wasn’t good for either the mother or the child.
“I want to, but nothing’s happening yet,” Audrey sighed.
Evie felt a bit awkward. She realized her question might have been too abrupt.
“Have you gotten checked out? Is there any issue?” Scarlett looked at Audrey.
“We did. Everything’s fine. But still, nothing happens. What can I do?”
“Second sister, these things can’t be rushed. Maybe if you just relax and let things take their course...” Evie suggested.
“If I were your age, I’d relax too. No hurry. But I’m thirty-eight this year. If I don’t have a baby soon, I might not be able to at all.”

Evie didn’t know much about the situation. This was her first time going out with Gray’s two sisters, so she kept quiet.
The food arrived. “Second sister, third sister, let’s eat first!” Evie called out, changing the subject.
“Evie, you love desserts. Aren’t you afraid of getting fat?” Scarlett teased.
“I don’t eat them often,” Evie said with a smile. “But sometimes, I think eating something sweet just makes you feel better.”
“Second sister, you should exercise! Dieting to control weight is hard. It’s better to eat well and then work out more,” Evie added.
“Then I’d rather diet. Exercise is torture for me!” Scarlett groaned.
Evie couldn’t help but laugh.
“Actually, walking isn’t that much exercise, but it’s good for your health.”
“Do you usually go for walks?”
“I take walks when I have free time. Running up and down in the company counts as exercise too,” Evie laughed.
“What do you have to run up and down for as an intern in the secretarial office?”
“Delivering documents,” Evie replied.
“Internships are tough,” Audrey nodded.
They ate and chatted in a relaxed atmosphere.
Later, instead of shopping, they went straight to a beauty spa.
Evie hadn’t been to a beauty salon in a long time. She felt like a country bumpkin.
“Evie, don’t think that just because you’re young, you don’t need maintenance. The younger you start, the better the results!” Scarlett advised.
“I usually just use moisturizer and cream.”
“Those are the basics. That’s not enough! You need to come to a beauty salon for maintenance at least once a week or two. Think about facial cleansing and muscle relaxation. You can’t clean your face thoroughly when you wash it at home. And then there’s moisturizing, collagen supplements—I won’t even go into all that. “Since Evie isn’t used to it, let’s come back another day,” Audrey turned to Scarlett.
“Alright,” Scarlett agreed.
“Third sister said it’s fine if you wait a long time.”
“Forget it. Let’s come back another day. It’s boring for you to wait alone in the lounge,” Scarlett said.
After that, they left the beauty room and went to the lounge to eat fruit and snacks.
“Evie, if you’re not used to body treatments, at least take care of your face. The craftsmanship and service here are pretty good,” Scarlett said to Evie.
