Chapter 466

Aria looked up.

A stunning couple stood in front of Vice President Sterling.

Wait.

What did he just call them?

“Evan and his friends are here for dinner!” Evie said with a smile, looking at Aria.

“They’re colleagues from the company,” Evan explained.

“Hello,” Evie greeted Aria.

“Hi,” Aria replied quickly.

She then turned and smiled politely at Evan’s father.

“Mom, Dad, if there’s nothing else, we’ll head out,” Evan said.

“Alright. Drive safe. Aria, come visit us when you have time!” Evie said to Aria with a warm smile.

“Yes, thank you,” Aria responded, her face turning red. “Goodbye!”

She had wanted to say ‘uncle’ and ‘auntie,’ but the words just wouldn’t come out.

They looked way too young.

Aria silently followed Evan out of the restaurant.

She couldn’t help glancing back at the couple.

They were so young.

They were the Vice President’s parents.

It was unbelievable.

Once they got in the car, Aria couldn’t hold it in anymore.

“Your parents are so young!”

“Yeah,” Evan replied, buckling his seatbelt. He paused, then asked, “You don’t know my father?”

“Huh?” Aria stared at him blankly.

Evan touched his nose.

Forget it.

She was a new hire who had only been at the company for two days.

She probably had never met the Chairman.

It was normal that she didn’t recognize him.

“Never mind.”

“Oh,” Aria answered.

A moment later, she looked at him, confused.

“You… aren’t you going to drive?”

“I’m still waiting for your address,” Evan responded.

Aria finally realized.

She hadn’t told him where she lived.

How was he supposed to know where to go?

She was so dumb.

She quickly told him her address.

Evan drove her back.

“Vice President, thank you so much for dinner tonight! I’ll pay you back tomorrow!” Aria said gratefully.

“No need,” Evan said. “Do you have your key to get in?”

“My roommate is home,” Aria answered. “I’ll head up now. Drive safe, Vice President. Bye!”

Evan nodded.

Aria unbuckled her seatbelt and got out.

She walked to the porch, rang the bell, and the door opened.

She turned and waved at the Vice President before going inside.

Evan waited until she was upstairs before driving away.

Back at the restaurant, Evie and Alexander entered their private room.

Evie put her bag aside and smiled at Alexander.

“Your son is in love.”

“Are you sure that girl is his girlfriend?” Alexander asked.

“Would your son eat dinner alone with her if she wasn’t?” Evie replied with a smirk.

“Didn’t you hear him say she was a colleague?” Alexander answered with a smile.

“It’s this late. Why would he invite a female colleague to dinner alone?

Have you ever done that?” Evie stared directly at Alexander.

“I’ve invited Grace to dinner before,” Alexander said.

“…” Evie was a bit flustered. “That’s different!”

Grace had been Alexander’s assistant for years.

“What’s the difference?”

“Are you not satisfied with that girl?” Evie asked.

“What does it have to do with me?” Alexander replied, confused.

“Then why do you keep arguing with me?”

“I’m not arguing. I just don’t think we should jump to conclusions about things that aren’t confirmed yet.”

“Alexander, I think your life is so boring. You’re even rational in your daily life!” Evie rested her chin on her hand, looking at him and murmuring.

Alexander couldn’t help but laugh.

“Fine, fine. Whatever you say.”

Evie laughed too.

Aria entered the apartment and collapsed onto the living room sofa.

“What’s wrong with you? Why are you back so late?” Savannah asked.

“I had the worst luck today!” Aria told Savannah about locking her bag in the office and getting trapped in the elevator.

“No way. Why are you so unlucky?” Savannah said.

“How should I know?” Aria replied, depressed. “Luckily, the Vice President was in the elevator with me. Otherwise, you’d probably be visiting me in the hospital right now.”

“Don’t talk nonsense!” Savannah shot Aria a look. But the next second, she seemed to smell gossip. Her eyes lit up. “What did you just say? The Vice President was trapped in the elevator with you?”

“Yeah, just the two of us,” Aria nodded.

“Male or female? Is he married? What does he look like?” Savannah fired off questions like a machine gun.

Aria couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

“What are you planning?”

“Nothing. I just think if he’s handsome and single, it would be a waste not to take advantage of such a good opportunity,” Savannah said with a grin.

Aria had been about to tell Savannah that she later invited the Vice President to dinner, met his parents, and he drove her home.

Hearing Savannah say that, she quickly shut her mouth.

Otherwise, she didn’t know what Savannah would imagine.

“You think too much,” Aria said, a black line forming on her forehead.

Even if the Vice President was single and had no girlfriend, there was no way he would be interested in her.

“How did you get back?” Savannah suddenly thought to ask.

“Walked,” Aria answered.

“You’re a beast,” Savannah said admiringly.

Aria just had to smile.

“By the way, did you eat dinner? Want me to make you some noodles or something?” Savannah asked again.

“I already ate. I’m going to take a shower and go to bed soon. I’m so tired today.”

“Then you should rest early. Don’t have nightmares if you get scared at night.”

“Hey, can’t you say something nice?” Aria glared at Savannah.

“Haha, I’m just worried about you. Otherwise, you can sleep with me tonight.”

“I’m not giving you a chance to grope me! I’m going to take a shower. I’m so tired!” With that, Aria got up and went to her bedroom.

“Sweet dreams!” Savannah said with a smile.

“Thanks,” Aria replied, reaching out and swinging into her bedroom.

She had to go to work tomorrow.

She needed to rest early, or she wouldn’t be able to get up.

After her shower, Aria lay in bed.

She thought about the events of the night.

It was depressing and funny at the same time.

Then she thought about the dinner bill.

Well, she couldn’t laugh anymore.

She had only been working for two days, and she had already spent her salary before she even got paid.

By the way, she didn’t know how much the dinner cost.

She didn’t know when the Vice President had paid the bill.

Well, she’d better go out early tomorrow and withdraw more cash from the ATM.
