After Amelia Vance walked away, the mirror started chatting with Evelyn without holding back.
“What happened? You’re usually so careful. How did you fall?” the mirror asked.
“I answered a phone call that day. I got distracted and tripped,” Evelyn answered lightly.
“I can’t believe you. You slipped up at the worst possible moment. Thank goodness you and the baby are fine. Otherwise, how would Alexander Sterling and your parents cope?” the mirror stared at Evelyn, speechless.
“I didn’t think it would be this serious. I’ll be more careful from now on!” Evelyn smiled, trying to calm the mirror.
“You can still laugh. No wonder your mom said that when Alexander got the critical notice at the hospital, he completely lost it!” the mirror retorted, annoyed.
Evelyn smiled quietly.
“Evelyn, I really think now that our lives are only a few decades long. Sometimes, it’s just a blink of an eye. We should cherish it!” the mirror sighed.
“I never knew you were so sentimental!” Evelyn said, laughing through her tears.
“It’s not about being sentimental. It’s just that too many things have happened lately. I really feel this way. What does a person’s whole life mean, anyway? Money? You can’t bring it when you’re born, and you can’t take it when you die. Beauty will eventually fade. In the end, what we really want is to be happy in our hearts! So we still have to live happily. “I learned them from watching skits!”

“Does Noah Grant know you’re in the hospital?”

“By the way, does Alexander know that Noah was the one who went to save you that day?” the mirror leaned in and asked with a gossipy face.
“Yes, I told him!” Evelyn nodded.

“It’s okay. If he can’t find a girlfriend, that’s perfect. I’m ready-made!” the mirror joked bitterly.
“You haven’t let go yet?” Evelyn asked in surprise.

Evelyn nodded. She felt that what the mirror said made sense. A person only truly lets go when they can see everything lightly. Before letting go, they care about every little thing concerning the other person. Wasn’t she the same way?
“It’s a beautiful day today! Do you want to go out for a walk?” the mirror looked back at Evelyn and asked.
“I can’t walk!” Evelyn sighed. She could barely stand for a while now. Asking her to walk from here to the small garden downstairs would kill her!
“I’ll push you in a wheelchair. Wait a minute, I’ll ask first, and then we can go out!” the mirror said. Without waiting for Evelyn to respond, she blew out of the ward like a gust of wind.
Evelyn watched the mirror’s back, laughing and crying at the same time. It was enough to have a confidant in life.
Later, the mirror really got a wheelchair and took Evelyn downstairs to the small garden for some fresh air.

The two women were enough to make a play. They walked and teased each other.
