During the ordering process, Noah asked Charlie and Evie if they agreed with each other.
Charlie said she could eat anything. Whatever he ordered, she would eat.
Evie wasn't picky either. She decided she had no taboos!
After ordering, Noah returned the menu to the waiter. Then he turned to Evie and said,
"I heard from Charlie that you quit your job!" Evie nodded.
"Taking good care of yourself is the most important thing now. There's really no need to keep working. It's too exhausting." Noah responded.

Evie smiled and nodded.

"Every time the three of us are together, I'm the one who suffers. As long as you two unite, I'm no match at all!"
"Of course!" Charlie said, holding Evie's arm proudly.
"Are you still used to being back home?" Evie asked with a smile.
"It's like he came back from an alien planet!" Charlie said with a grin.
Noah laughed and then said,
"To be honest, I wasn't used to it that first month when I just returned home. Now I don't have any special feeling. After all, I've lived in China for a longer time, and I'm more used to the food there."
"Just like Charlie. Charlie also insisted on returning home because of the domestic food!" Evie said with a smile.
She remembered years ago, when Charlie first went abroad. She didn't last long before running back. The reason was she couldn't get used to Western food and was hungry all day.
"She's a foodie!" Noah said, looking at Charlie.

Evie turned to look at Charlie in shock. The next second, she couldn't help laughing. Noah laughed too.
Charlie was embarrassed instead.
"Don't think crooked thoughts!"
Evie propped up her cheek, looked at Charlie and said with a smile,
"We didn't think crooked thoughts. We just made a reasonable association!"
Charlie rolled her eyes, picked up her tea, and ignored them.
"Do you also have work today?" Evie changed the topic and asked Noah.
"I don't usually work overtime. Today, I happened to have a new project that needs to be rushed out."
"Will it affect your work if I asked you out?"
"No matter how busy we are, we have to eat!" Noah promised.

After lunch, Charlie and Evie had to go shopping. Noah had to work overtime. So after they paid the bill, they separated.
