Chapter 368

During the ordering process, Noah asked Charlie and Evie if they agreed with each other.

Charlie said she could eat anything. Whatever he ordered, she would eat.

Evie wasn't picky either. She decided she had no taboos!

After ordering, Noah returned the menu to the waiter. Then he turned to Evie and said,

"I heard from Charlie that you quit your job!" Evie nodded.

"Taking good care of yourself is the most important thing now. There's really no need to keep working. It's too exhausting." Noah responded.

"Noah, if you say that, does it mean it's better for your wife to be a full-time housewife at home when she's pregnant and doesn't have to work?" Charlie laughed.

"I can't answer that until I have a wife." Noah replied with a smile.

"Noah, you're getting more and more cunning!" Charlie turned to Evie and said.

Evie smiled and nodded.

Noah looked a little sad.

"Every time the three of us are together, I'm the one who suffers. As long as you two unite, I'm no match at all!"

"Of course!" Charlie said, holding Evie's arm proudly.

"Are you still used to being back home?" Evie asked with a smile.

"It's like he came back from an alien planet!" Charlie said with a grin.

Noah laughed and then said,

"To be honest, I wasn't used to it that first month when I just returned home. Now I don't have any special feeling. After all, I've lived in China for a longer time, and I'm more used to the food there."

"Just like Charlie. Charlie also insisted on returning home because of the domestic food!" Evie said with a smile.

She remembered years ago, when Charlie first went abroad. She didn't last long before running back. The reason was she couldn't get used to Western food and was hungry all day.

"She's a foodie!" Noah said, looking at Charlie.

"What's wrong with being a foodie? Evie and I are both foodies. We're still high-grade foodies who eat but don't get fat!" Charlie replied complacently.

"I've gained a lot of weight!" said Evie.

"If you have a big stomach, where are you fat?" Charlie retorted directly.

Evie was embarrassed. Noah smiled softly. Charlie seemed to realize she had been too frank again.

She blurted out,

"I still want to have a big stomach, but I don't have a chance!"

Evie turned to look at Charlie in shock. The next second, she couldn't help laughing. Noah laughed too.

Charlie was embarrassed instead.

"Don't think crooked thoughts!"

Evie propped up her cheek, looked at Charlie and said with a smile,

"We didn't think crooked thoughts. We just made a reasonable association!"

Charlie rolled her eyes, picked up her tea, and ignored them.

"Do you also have work today?" Evie changed the topic and asked Noah.

"I don't usually work overtime. Today, I happened to have a new project that needs to be rushed out."

"Will it affect your work if I asked you out?"

"No matter how busy we are, we have to eat!" Noah promised.

"That's true!"

The dishes were delivered one after another. Charlie glanced at the dishes and felt that even if she rode a wind-and-fire wheel, she couldn't catch up with Noah.

Even after so many years, even though Evie was married, Noah still hadn't forgotten Evie's dietary preferences. Everything he ordered was what she liked to eat.

So some things, if you don't work hard, you won't succeed.

Evie didn't eat much. On one hand, she didn't have a good appetite. On the other hand, she had eaten breakfast late.

"Not to your taste?" Noah noticed that Evie ate less and asked.

"No, it's mainly because I ate breakfast after 10 o'clock. I'm not very hungry now! You eat more!" Evie replied.

"Eat slowly, eat more!" Noah said.

Then he turned to Charlie and said,

"You should eat more too!"

"I've lost weight recently!" Charlie replied.

"Don't you just eat but don't get fat? You don't need to lose weight. Besides, you're already very thin like this!" Noah said with a smile.

"That's strange!" Charlie murmured.

Noah had already put a chopstick of dish into Charlie's bowl.

"In fact, girls look better when they are a bit chubby!"

Charlie was stunned. She looked up at Noah. It took a long time for Charlie to react and respond angrily,

"Although we're good friends, you can't be a stumbling block on my way to losing weight."

Despite that, Charlie still lowered her head and ate the dish Noah had helped her with.

Evie watched the natural interaction between Noah and Charlie. Her heart felt warm.

Some people may not be able to be lovers. But after a long time together, they become like relatives. They genuinely want to care for each other. Just like her and Charlie, Noah and Charlie.

After lunch, Charlie and Evie had to go shopping. Noah had to work overtime. So after they paid the bill, they separated.

Noah returned to the company to continue working. Charlie and Evie went shopping.

But because they had just finished lunch, they didn't go shopping directly. Instead, they stayed in the car to rest.

"Noah has been very busy recently!" Charlie said without any lead-in.

"I can see that!" Evie responded.

"The company thinks highly of him. The boss's daughter also appreciates him!" Charlie continued.

Evie turned to look at Charlie and said with a smile,

"Noah is already excellent!"

"So as long as he wants to, he can become the boss's son-in-law soon!"

"Ah?" Evie answered in dismay.

"The boss's daughter likes Noah very much!"

"How do you know?"

"As long as I want to know, it's not difficult."

"What does Noah mean?"

"I don't know!"

"Charlie, I don't think you can do this. If you still can't let go of Noah, you have to bravely pursue him, as long as he is single. If you really have let go, then no matter what choice he makes, we should support and bless him."

"That's what I think, but it's hard to do. But to be honest, I'm quite optimistic about them. A man and a woman, a match made in heaven! Just like you and Alexander!"

"Oh!" Evie answered.

Like her and Alexander, there was nothing to be proud of.

After all, she had many problems with Alexander.

But everyone has different ideas. As long as they feel good.

"Don't talk about Noah anymore. Where shall we go in a moment?" Charlie sighed, turned to look at Evie, and asked.

"I'll accompany you wherever you want to go!" Evie said with a smile.

"Then go shopping with me. I really don't think I have any clothes to wear recently!" said Charlie.

Century Square had many high-end brand counters. The key brands they liked also had counters there. So it was most convenient for them to go directly to Century Square.

"Okay!" Evie responded.

She could go anywhere. Anyway, she didn't have anything special to buy. She would just take a good look while accompanying Charlie.
