He was sitting by the bed, staring at her.

Just now, when Evelyn saw him, she was still half-asleep. But she already instinctively resisted him.

“Do you want to sleep a little longer, or get up and eat first?”
“I’m still sleepy. You go eat first.”
“Evelyn, do you want to avoid me like this forever?” Alexander asked, looking at her.

“Evelyn, just because I agree to live apart for a few days doesn’t mean I agree with this behavior. It doesn’t mean I’ll agree to live apart from you forever.
It’s just that you’re still angry. If this makes you feel better, I won’t object.
What happened between Grace and me is over. Like you said, maybe because there was regret in my heart, I never really let go.

Alexander stroked Evelyn’s cheek and looked directly into her eyes.

But Alexander, I don’t want to be the one you won’t divorce just because I’m already your wife.

Evelyn lay down again, turning her back to the door. She heard Alexander sigh, then the sound of the door closing.
