Chapter 35

“I’ll let it slide. It’s completely useless!” the mirror said with a grin.

“Don’t get too attached to one person, or you’ll end up with nothing in the end!” Charlotte remarked.

“Are you still talking philosophy with me?” the mirror asked. “Did you finish your class?”

“Just finished. I’m heading to the library to study on my own.”

“I don’t have class tonight. If you’re free, you can come hang out with me!”

“Then come find me another day when you have time!”

“Okay! Study hard and make progress every day!” the mirror said with a smile.

“I won’t let you down!” Charlotte said softly.

“Ha ha!” the mirror burst out laughing.

After finishing the call with the mirror, Charlotte put away her phone and caught up with Emily and Stella, who were heading to the library together.

Two days later, Charlotte received a call from Ethan Sterling. He asked if she was free to have tea with him that afternoon.

Charlotte was flattered and said she had no classes in the afternoon.

Ethan said he would pick her up from school around two o’clock.

Charlotte agreed.

Back in the dorm, Emily turned around and asked, “Charlotte, we’re going shopping this afternoon. Want to come along?”

“I have plans this afternoon, so I can’t go shopping with you.”

“But you can bring me some good food when you get back!” Charlotte said with a smile.

“You wish!” Emily replied.

“Emily, you’re the most beautiful. Don’t look down on me!”

“Get out!” Emily said, dismissing her directly.

Charlotte smiled and got ready to climb into bed for a nap.

“Charlotte, come help me see what’s wrong with this computer!” Stella suddenly exclaimed.

Charlotte was startled.

She turned around and saw many explicit pictures on Stella’s screen.

“Stella, you’ve been browsing adult websites!” Charlotte said, walking over to Stella’s computer and grabbing the mouse.

“You’re the one browsing adult websites!” Stella said with a laugh.

“Then why are there so many explicit pictures?”

“That’s why I’m asking you! You’re the best with computers in our dorm, and you’re asking me!” Stella was speechless.

“It’s infected with a virus. It’s probably related to you browsing those adult websites!”

“Get lost, I told you I didn’t!”

“It’s so infected that the only way is to reinstall the system.”

“It costs fifty bucks to reinstall the system!” Charlotte sighed, putting on a reluctant expression.

“You’re ripping me off!” Stella got angry.

“Restoring the system costs twenty bucks, but the effect isn’t as good as reinstalling!”

“You can choose one or the other!” Charlotte said as she turned to go back to her spot.

“Fifty it is. Help me quickly, I still have homework to do!” Stella quickly grabbed Charlotte.

“Don’t pull me, I need to get the system disk to help you reinstall!” Charlotte said with a smile.

“I hate you!”

“Use my computer for now. It’ll take about twenty minutes to reinstall the system at the fastest!” Charlotte said, then went to get the disk to reinstall Stella’s computer system.

An hour later, the system was reinstalled, the software was updated, and the antivirus was complete.

Charlotte checked the time. It was a little past one. She got ready, thinking Ethan would be here soon.

She didn’t have time for a nap.

Poor her. She thought she wouldn’t have class in the afternoon and could sleep well.

“Stella’s computer is done. Don’t click on unknown links casually in the future, and don’t go to shady websites!” Charlotte said as she stood up.

“Screw you, you’re the one on shady websites.” Stella scolded with a smile.

“Fifty bucks.”

“I don’t have enough living expenses this month. Lend me fifty, and I’ll owe you a hundred!”

“No money!” Charlotte laughed.

“Charlotte, I think it’s a waste of your business sense not to study economics and trade!”

“Well, I’m so stupid that I can only sit at the counter and help people count money.” Charlotte said with a smile.

“You’re blind!”

“Go do your homework. I’m ready to go out!”

“Going on a date again!”

“Meeting with an elder!”

“Sounds like a blind date!”

Charlotte was at a loss for words.

“Maybe it’s a marriage meeting!” Emily said from the top bunk.

Charlotte broke out in a cold sweat.

She ignored them directly, picked out a set of clothes, and went into the bathroom to change.

After getting dressed, she carried a small bag, said hello to her roommates, and was ready to go out.

“Charlotte, if you come back tonight, we’ll bring you good food.”

“If you don’t come back, we won’t bring any.” Stella turned her head and asked.

“I don’t know yet. Forget it. I’ll call you later.”

“Okay, go, go! Have a good blind date!”

“Blind date my head!” Charlotte said with a smile and walked out of the dormitory.

She arrived at the south gate and waited for Ethan Sterling.

“Charlotte, I’m here. Come out!”

“I’m at the school gate. Where are you?”

“My car just stopped at the school gate. Why don’t I see you?” Ethan said, looking around on the other end of the phone.

“I’m at the south gate. Which gate are you at?”

“The main gate of your school!”

“Oh, wait for me. I’ll be right there.”

“It’s better if I come pick you up quickly. Just wait there. South Gate, right?”

“Yes, I’m on the side of the south gate.”

“Wait for me!” Ethan said, hung up the phone, started the car, and drove towards the south gate.

Before long, a car stopped beside Charlotte.

“Charlotte, get in!” Ethan said as he lowered the window.

Charlotte looked down at Ethan, opened the front passenger door, and got in.

“I forgot to tell you to meet at the south gate just now!”

“It’s okay. It’s just a moment.”

“You can wait until I come,” Ethan said with a smile.

“It’s almost two o’clock when I came out.”

“If I go out late or get stuck in traffic, wouldn’t you have to wait here?”

“Punctuality is a basic virtue of a person!”

“Well, Auntie, you’re right!” Ethan said with a smile.

“How is your mother-in-law doing lately?” Charlotte asked, changing the subject.

“Very well. I really didn’t lie to you. My mother has been in good spirits lately!”

“That’s good!”

“Don’t worry. My mother is in a bad mood, but she won’t hurt you!”

“She won’t hurt anyone!”

“I’m not worried about that!” Charlotte rolled her eyes.

“Charlotte, have you met my little uncle?”

“No. Where did he go on a business trip this time?” Charlotte asked habitually.

“My little uncle hasn’t been on a business trip these days. By the way, he should be back for dinner tonight.”

“At noon, I heard my grandmother call my little uncle and ask him to come back for dinner tonight!”

“Oh!” Charlotte wasn’t very interested in the news.

“Charlotte, you said that your department and my little uncle have been married for half a month, and you can’t even see him clearly. That’s amazing!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll see clearly at night. I have glasses!” Charlotte said, deliberately adjusting the glasses on the bridge of her nose.

“Charlotte, has anyone told you that you look ugly in those glasses?”

“Where!” Charlotte glared at Ethan.

“Anyway, I think it’s ugly!”

“That’s your vision. I don’t share the same language with you. I won’t talk to you anymore!”

Ethan smiled.

“What fruits do your mother and grandmother like to eat? I’ll buy some later.” Charlotte asked again.

“No need. There are plenty of fruits at home!”

“It’s a token of my appreciation!”

“Then you can bring some mung bean cake or almond cake. My mother and grandmother like them very much!”

“Let’s go to Li’s to buy some.”

Ethan turned around to buy the cakes.

Charlotte first went to the main house to greet Old Lady Sterling, her mother-in-law. After chatting for a while, Charlotte and Ethan went to Rose Garden Villa to see Ethan’s mother.

“Sister-in-law!” Charlotte called softly.

At that moment, Isabella Stark was reading a book. She heard Charlotte’s voice, looked up, and saw her with a gentle smile.

“Charlotte is here! Sit down quickly!” She put down her book, walked over, and asked Charlotte to sit at the tea table.

“Thank you, sister-in-law!”

“What kind of tea would you like to drink?” Isabella Stark began to boil water and asked.

“Anything is fine. You decide, sister-in-law!” Charlotte said with a smile.

“Then let’s drink Biluochun. It tastes good after drinking it!”

“Okay!” Charlotte nodded.

Anyway, she had no research on tea. It didn’t matter what she drank.

“Are you still having classes now?” Isabella Stark asked while arranging the teacups.

“After this semester, the next semester is mainly for internships.”

“You look very young. I heard from Ethan a few days ago,”

“you’re about to graduate.”

“So, after graduation, you two don’t have to live in two places. A husband and wife still want to live together. The sentiment is good!” Isabella Stark said while washing the teacups.

After hearing this, Charlotte turned to Ethan for help.

“Mom, Charlotte is my little uncle’s wife!” Ethan had to clarify with his mother again.

“Ah Mo’s wife!” said Isabella Stark.

The next second, she looked up at Charlotte and continued with a smile.

“Ah Mo is a good child!”

Charlotte could only nod and agree with her with a smile. She couldn’t say no, and she didn’t know what to say.

In fact, she didn’t know Alexander Sterling at all!

At that moment, the image of the Alexander Sterling she knew appeared in her mind!

She couldn’t help shivering.

Where are you going!

“Charlotte, are you cold?”

Charlotte looked up and saw Isabella Stark’s concerned eyes. She quickly shook her head and said.

“It’s not cold!”

“If it’s okay, let Ethan turn on the air conditioner.” Isabella Stark said, turning her head and telling Ethan to turn on the air conditioner.

“No, no, sister-in-law. I’m really not cold!” Charlotte quickly waved her hand and said.

“Then drink more tea! I usually don’t like to turn on the air conditioner myself. I always feel that the air isn’t circulating enough, which is depressing.”

“If Ethan’s father comes back, I’ll turn it on for a while.”

“Ethan’s father is afraid of the cold!” Isabella Stark said calmly.

Charlotte had no choice but to hold a cup of tea to hide her embarrassment. She didn’t know how to respond to Isabella Stark’s words.

Isabella Stark spoke very gently and clearly. If you didn’t know her spirit wasn’t very good, and that Ethan’s father had passed away, you couldn’t see anything wrong with Isabella Stark.
