Chapter 70

"Calling anyone won't help. Are you deliberately trying to ruin our date, sis?"

Before Chloe Evans could finish speaking, a middle-aged man in a tailored suit arrived.

Liam Winston spotted the "General Manager" badge on the man's chest and confidently flashed his silver card.

"We're taking the VIP suite on the top floor!"

Seeing the general manager's arrival, Chloe's lips curled in triumph.

"My apologies to both sisters. I feel terrible about this scene. Let me treat you to dinner as compensation?"

"Who wants your charity!" Isabella Robinson slapped away Chloe's fake outstretched hand. "That suite is ours today!"

The general manager's gaze swept over the group but froze when it landed on Sophia Sullivan. He abruptly pushed aside Liam's silver card and bowed deeply.

"You should have notified us of your arrival! We'd have prepared a private reception!"

"How's your boss these days?" Sophia tapped the table lightly. "I seem to have misplaced my Black Gold Card. Does the privilege he promised still stand?"

After a brief pause, the manager understood immediately. "Of course! You're our most honored guest. Not just Black Gold privileges—we'd close the entire restaurant if you wished!"

He turned and barked at the stunned waiter. "Why are you standing there? Clear the top floor immediately! From now on, treat Ms. Sullivan as you would the owner. Any disrespect means immediate termination!"

Chloe's smug expression froze.

Black Gold Card? How could this woman possess one of the ten global VIP cards?

Liam grabbed the manager's sleeve. "You must have mistaken her for someone else! There's no way she has a Black Gold Card!"

Chloe raised her voice deliberately. "Exactly! Just anyone can demand special treatment? What kind of establishment is this?"

The manager coldly shook off Liam. "Silver card members don't question Black Gold privileges. Even if Ms. Sullivan wanted to tear this place down, we'd comply!"

"Ridiculous!" Liam scoffed. "If she claims to have the card, let's see it! Or is she copying Isabella's 'I forgot it' excuse?"

Sophia idly swirled her teacup. "I don't need cards to prove my identity when dining. But you—since the divorce, you've become more like a rabid dog, forgetting even basic manners."

Chloe interjected sweetly. "Don't be upset, sis~ I heard Black Gold Cards have fingerprint verification. If it's genuine, why not prove it?"

"She wouldn't dare!" Liam eyed Sophia's simple attire with disdain. "Someone this shabby pretending to own a Black Gold Card? This restaurant will fail with people like you exploiting connections!"

Sweating nervously, the manager glanced at Sophia. Seeing her calmly blowing on her tea, he grabbed his walkie-talkie. "Security! Escort this silver card member out—permanent ban!"
